Yeats Day will take place in and around Sligo City and county from Thursday, June 09th to Monday, June 13th, 2016. This is the fifth year of the festival which celebrates the Nobel Prize winning poet's 151st birthday.
It follows on from the success of Yeats2015, which celebrated his 150th birthday last year.
It will host many events including; the Nobel Dinner, an evening boat trip to the Lake Isle of Innisfree and various talks and lectures.
The events will run throughout the weekend up until his actual birthday on Monday, June 13th.
There will drama, cake, poetry, art and uplifting music in the ancient Sligo Abbey.
WB’s creative sisters - Susan (Lily) and Elizabeth(Lolly) will be celebrated in the LilyLolly Craftfest which will run from Monday, June 13th to Thursday, June 23rd.
